DePinto Named Facilitator of Aneurysm Support Group

EDISON, NJ ---- Ocean Gate, NJ resident Nancy DePinto has been appointed Facilitator of the AVM/Aneurysm Support Group by the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute (NJNI) at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

A neuroscience nurse with six years experience, DePinto has been with NJNI for nearly four years and is a neurosurgical nurse clinician. DePinto has worked directly with preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative phases with both arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and Cerebral Aneurysm patients. She has also been a speaker on AVM and aneurysms at the annual Critical Nursing Conference at JFK Medical Center.

The AVM/Aneurysm Support Group is open to survivors of cerebral aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), as well as their family members, caregivers, and friends. The group meets regularly the fourth Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at 7:00 pm in the NJNI conference room, and includes special guest presentations and activities throughout the year. The group is an affiliate of the Brain Injury Association, Inc., a statewide, non-profit membership organization dedicated to providing education, outreach, prevention, advocacy, and support services too those affected by brain injury and the community at large and is sponsored in part by NJNI.

The New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center is a comprehensive facility designed exclusively for the diagnosis, treatment, and research of complex neurological disorders in children and adults.
