JERSEY NEUROSCIENCE INSTITUTE GAMMA KNIFE TEAM
WELCOMES TWO NEW STAFF MEMBERS
The New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center in Edison welcomes two new staff members to its Gamma Knife team: Steven Zarny, M.D., radiation oncologist, and Trent E. Hall, M.S., physicist. The Institute is the first health care facility in the state to offer the revolutionary Gamma Knife technology for bloodless brain surgery.
Zarny received his medical degree from the State University of New York: Health Science Center at Brooklyn, Brooklyn, N.Y., and went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, also in Brooklyn. He served as a post-doctoral residency fellow in radiation oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital: Columbia Presbyterian Center, New York City.
Professional memberships for Zarny include the American Medical Association; the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology; the American College of Radiology; and the New York Roentgen Society. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Hall received his bachelors degree with a certificate in radiation therapy from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Ala. He went on to receive his masters degree in physics with a concentration in medical physics from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
