New Jersey Neuroscience Institute:
Sleep Study to Evaluate Attention Deficit in Adults
to Begin
Edison, NJ— Arthur S. Walters, MD, a neurologist with the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute (NJNI), JFK Medical Center, and Dr. Rochelle Zak, Clinical Instructor of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Weill Cornell Medical Center are set to begin a clinical research study to determine the relationship between certain medical disorders and adult Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). The study will begin in early March at JFK Medical Center in Edison and will concurrently be conducted at a private healthcare facility in Detroit , MI .
Zak encourages adults with ADHD, whether or not they have any known concurrent medical disorders to participate in the volunteer study. Volunteers will have to undergo a medical interview and, where appropriate, a brief physical examination. The study will take between 40 minutes and two hours. The New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center is a comprehensive facility designed exclusively for the diagnosis, treatment, and research of complex neurological and neurosurgical disorders in adults and children.
