Recognized Specialists

In all respects, they are at the forefront of neurological treatment and have at their disposal the very latest technological tools.

Continuing Your Child's Recovery
Many neurological disorders require physical, occupational, speech and other forms of therapy. In that regard, the Children's Neurological Center is greatly enhanced by our relationship with the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute's Pediatric Rehabilitation Department. The Pediatric Rehabilitation Department is the largest outpatient pediatric rehab facility in New Jersey. As a result, you're able to give your child the therapy he or she needs in a convenient, suburban setting that's close to home and work.

From Where You and Your Child Stand
The Children's Neurological Center makes kids feel at home. Our child-focused facilities and amenities offer children a reassuring, friendly environment they can relax in. For outpatient care, most of our services are provided in a specialized area within the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute. Inpatient care is provided in a fully monitored unit at JFK Medical Center that's devoted solely to pediatric patients. In addition, the Pediatric Special Care unit is designed for medical and post-surgical care of children. It's directed by a board-certified, pediatric intensivist and staffed by specially trained, pediatric nurses. A playroom is available on the pediatric floor. Parents are always welcome to spend the night or we'll assist you with hotel arrangements. Volunteers are available to entertain and visit with your child, run errands, and stay with your child when you need a break.

Children look to their parents for the extra support and nurturing they need during times of illness. We believe in the healing power of parents. At the Children's Neurological Center we do everything we can to empower you.

We keep you actively informed, which means you find out information when we do. You're always in-the-know about everything that's happening with your child. We will not only share the results of procedures and tests, we are always more than happy to explain what they mean and take the time to answer your questions in language you can understand. Our pediatric neuroscience nurse serves as an additional liaison and parents who have been in similar circumstances are available for support. Your child's primary care provider will be kept fully informed and is considered part of the treatment team.

At the Children's Neurological Center, we know that when you feel comfortable, relaxed and reassured, so will your child.
