Residency Overview
The three-year Neurology Residency Program was established in 1996 through the efforts of a dynamic group of neurologists, neuropsychologists and neurosurgeons. Their vision was to develop an integrated program that would provide residents with a strong neurology background and ample exposure to
neurosurgery.
Based at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center, the Neurology Residency Program accepts four residents per postgraduate year for a rigorous program that combines clinical, academic and research experiences.
Thirty-two of the 36 months of the program are assigned to JFK Medical
Center. Three months are spent in consulting neurology at St. Francis
Medical Center in Trenton. One month is spent in child neurology at
Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick.
